I Truly Enjoy Helping Owners And Their Dogs Have Fun Learning New Exercises While Becoming A Well-polished “team

Professional dog trainer

I’m Bret Geller, Co-Owner of IQ K9 Training. I am a California native and have spent my life following my passion for dogs.

I have been competing in dog sports for over 12 years. I began competing in the sport of Flyball in 2001 in Las Vegas on Touch N Go Flyball team.
Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a
tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring-loaded pad, then back to their handlers whilecarrying the ball. I invented
and built the first ‘heavy’ box in flyball which greatly aided in the training of the dogs, helping his team stay on top!
During my many years on Touch N Go, the team won two U-FLI Championships and is the current world record holder to this day.

I also actively compete in Dock Diving. I love training and conditioning dogs which has helped me earn three consecutive invitations to
the DockDogs World Championship with my Border Collie Whippet mix (Border Whippet) ‘Soldier’ as well as ‘Rex’ the Belgian Malinois.
Through my experience with training Flyball dogs came knowledge and a good-eye in teaching dogs proper striding, I find I have a great
ability to see ways to improve a dogs ability in Dock Diving through positioning and striding exercises to help take a dog to the next
level in the sport.

Through my experience in dog sports as well as dog training, I soon discovered that the majority of pet owners do not have the
proper knowledge and confidence to know what to do if their pet becomes injured. This led me to study and become a
Certified Pet Tech™ Pet First Aid/CPR Instructor. I now provide regular classes for other Pet Care Professionals as well as everyday
pet parents throughout San Diego and surrounding area.

I am proud to be an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator. These programs were developed by the American
Kennel Club to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community.

I truly enjoy helping owners and their dogs have fun learning new exercises while becoming a well-polished “team
